The Team attends around 100 incidents annually which vary from a twisted ankle or overdue persons on easy paths to serious accidents or fatalities on cliffs and very difficult ground. Our response might involve deploying just 4 or so members, or it could involve the majority of the Team supported by other adjacent teams, and various emergency services. The Team is always most appreciative of the support provided by other teams and agencies with the provision of a safe and rapid deployment of casualties to hospital.
Some team equipment is provided with the support of Mountain Rescue England & Wales but the majority of costs are met by donations & gift aid from the general public, mountaineering clubs and the gifts provided by grateful persons assisted by the Team.
