Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, is
probably the busiest mountain in Britain. Many of the visitors to Wales are determined to walk or climb to the summit.  

The Llanberis Pass and the big cliffs of Clogwyn du'r Arddu and Lliwedd give the area one of the highest concentrations of quality rock climbing anywhere and attracts climbers from all over the world. In a hard winter some of the hardest ice climbing in Britain is here.
